Northern Lights Mesmerize

What a magical night! The Northern Lights mesmerized us here at Lough Mardal and across most of the North West last night. So many tmes we have raced out to try and catch them only to be been left underwhelmed, they are usually and frustratingly obscured by a dense cloud cover. But last night the conditions were perfect. More than perfect in fact as apart from a completely clear sky there wasn't a breeze so there was a perfectly still lake which only amplified the lights more. We were properly awestruck. At moments we though a spaceship might be landing. It was most definitely worth dragging the kids out of bed, who knows when we'll see such a display again.
