TERMS & CONDITIONS
We don't have too many rules and regulations, there are just a few policies we ask all guests to be aware of:

-
Payment Terms: We ask for full payment at time of booking
-
Cancellation policy: Payment is refundable up to 14 days prior to arrival date, after which it is non-refundable. When a refund is issued a cancellation charge of €10 or 3% (whichever is the greater) is charged to cover card processing fees and admin. For a group booking payment is refundable up to 1 month prior to arrival date, after which it is not refundable. Refunds are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. In case of a Force Majeure, where we are obliged to close unexpectedly (eg, Covid19) or if you are no longer able to travel due to Covid19 government-imposed travel restrictions then our normal cancellation policy is suspended and all bookings that are effected, inside or outside the 14 days, will be offered a postponement or gift voucher for the value of the booking to be redeemed anytime in the future.

Check-in time is from 3pm. Check-out is by 11am.
-
Parking is in the Car Park adjacent to The Lodge communal building. There is no vehicle access to individual yurts however there are bays close to some for loading/unloading only, cars must then return to the Car Park.
-
There is a Quiet Time policy in place from 11pm from which time we ask guests not to play loud music or make noise which may disturb other guests.
-
Guest's are not permitted to have non-resident visitors during their stay unless agreed in advance with Lough Mardal Lodge

Secure lockers with charging points are provided for all guests. Mobile devices and gadgets should be charged in your secure locker rather than in any of the common areas.
-
Guests are liable for any incidental damages they are responsible for in Yurts, Shepherd's Hut, Lodge or surrounding property.
-
Much of Lough Mardal Lodge is on peatland which is a rough and often wet terrain, guests are advised to bring sensible waterproof walking/hiking boots. Walking/hiking is at guests' own risk.
-
There are BBQ's available for guests' use at the Lodge, please note disposable BBQ's are not permitted anywhere on site.
-
There are a limited number of dog-friendly yurts - a pet surcharge of €20 per stay applies. We ask that you please reconsider bringing your dog if he is very 'yappy' out of respect to other guests who wish to enjoy the peacefulness of the Lodge including lazy lie-ins!

PET POLICY

-
There are a limited number of pet-friendly yurts so ensure you have booked one of these before bringing your pet. (It can be booked as an Add-on on the booking page.) Only 1 pet permitted per yurt.
-
There are 90 acres of space here which make for plenty of lovely walks with your dog. Please do note however that we are a small working farm with livestock (cows & hens) so we ask you to please keep your pet under control and on a lead when in close proximity to them.
-
Dogs should not to be left alone and unsupervised in the Yurt at any stage unless you are bringing a crate for him/her.
-
If your dog is a puppy you must bring a crate.
-
Please note that some of the more delicate soft furnishings in the yurt are removed when a pet comes to stay and rugs are taken up.
-
Dogs are not permitted up on any of the furniture in the Lodge or Yurt, this includes the bed. We recommend bringing your dog's bed from home which will help him/her to feel settled.
-
Dogs are permitted in the Lodge once they are kept under control and do not disturb other guests who are here to enjoy the peacefulness of the Lodge. Please be mindful that some other guests, particularly children, may also be nervous around dogs. If you choose not to bring your pet into the Lodge and are unsure where to leave him while you are in there one solution could be leaving him in your car temporarily until you are finished, once it is not a hot day of course and making sure to keep a window partially open.
-
Please scoop all poop with the green shovel that is located on the bank between the car park and the Lodge. If you have trouble finding it just ask us or any of the staff and we can show you. Poop can be tossed well into a hedgerow.
-
The pet owner is liable for any damage caused by their pet to Lough Mardal Lodge property, furniture or furnishings or to those of another guest.
