SKYDOME YURT GLAMPING ACCOMODATION
There is nothing quite like staying in a Yurt. A simple yet magical dwelling with wooden lattice walls and radial rafters, it evokes a sense of the exotic. Originally the homes of the nomads of Central Asia the Yurts at Lough Mardal Lodge have been adapted for today and have been chosen for their high-tech insulation, warmth and durability which is required for the slightly temperamental weather on the West Coast of Ireland!
All Yurts are well-spaced ensuring seclusion and privacy, with two being relatively close and ideal for groups wishing to holiday together. Each is luxuriously furnished with a comfortable seating area and they are individually styled with sheepskins, woollen blankets, heavy 15 Tog duvets, fluffed pillows and crisp linen. All have exceptional views of lake and forestry.
Each Yurt Features:
King-size bed & sofabed or single bed
Wood-burning stove with a supply of firewood
Large Dome Skylight
Lake, mountain and forest views
Fresh towels and crisp linen
Hot Water Bottles
There is no electricity in the yurt. Each yurt is assigned a secure locker in the Lodge where mobile devices can be recharged. We also offer recharging facilities for electric cars.
Lough Mardal Lodge offers the opportunity to truly escape from the white noise of modern living and constant-connectivity - we strongly recommend you lock up your gadgets and relax, unwind and disconnect! With that in mind, the Reciprocal Room in the Lodge is a gadget-free zone. There is a comfortable space in the Lobby where guests can use their devices.
One yurt is wheelchair accessible and can be hooked up to electricity for special needs. Please contact us prior to booking to check availability.
There is one pet-friendly yurt. Please contact us prior to booking to check availability. There is a cleaning surcharge of €20 per stay. Dogs are not permitted into the Lodge. We can only accommodate one dog per stay.
